On March 16^th, the Risk & Insurance Management Society (RIMS) delegation visited the Risk Management and Insurance Department of SEPKU. Professor Sun Qixiang, Dean of SEPKU, Associate Professor Suo Lingyan, Assistant Dean of SEPKU, Professor Zheng Wei, Director of the Department of Risk Management and Insurance, Associate Professor Liu Xinli, Deputy Director of the department, received the guests.

 

On the meeting, Professor Zheng Wei gave a brief introduction of the Risk Management and Insurance Department and CCISSR center, including faculties, courses, research fields and the communication platform and events.

 

Ms. Julie Pemberton, Chairman of the Board of RIMS, and Ms. Mary Roth, Chief Executive of RIMS, introduced the basic situation of RIMS. RIMS is a leading worldwide non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the risk management practice, whose mission is to provide education, further study, interaction and support for the global professional risk management group. So far its member units contain 3500 companies, government entities, charity and non-profit organizations in more than 60 countries. The members can develop personal relationships, achieve professional development and seek further study education opportunities, from the various activities and resources provided by RIMS.

 

The participants carried on an in-depth discussion on the cultivation of current China’s professional risk management groups and the development of the risk management industry. Both sides expressed the hope for further communication to establish cooperation relationship.

 

Finally, the RIMS delegation members had a pleasant communication with the students.
