From July 5 to 9, the 2015 SEPKU National Excellent Summer Camp was held successfully. The camp was consisted of opening and closing ceremony, theme lectures, professional presentations, written examination and interview, the exchange of friendship and other activities. There were 239 students from 117 colleges participating the summer camp.

 

On July 6, the summer camp opening ceremony was held at SEPKU lecture hall. Dean Sun Qixiang delivered an opening speech and expressed her sincere congratulations and warm welcome to those who came to the camp. She said that economics was the choice for those with an ambition to benefit the People, and School of Economics Peking University, was worthy for strive. She encouraged the students to think, practise and innovate, to struggle to be the backbone of China`s reform.

 

After the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Zheng carried out a lecture themed as “Analysis of Important Issues in the Current Social and Economic”. Combined with the history of China`s economic development and his own unique insights and academic life, he analyzed four major economic issues concerned by the academic and social.

 

On July 6, SEPKU faculties introduced Master of Finance, Master of Insurance, Master of Taxation, Master of International Business and all the doctoral programs to students.

 

From July 7 to 8, the students participated in the selection through written examination and interview. The judges spoke highly of the outstanding academic accomplishment and high comprehensive quality of the students.

 

On July 9, the closing ceremony was held. Professor Zhang Zheng and Professor Wang Shuguang issued certificates of completion for the students.

 

The holding of 2015 National Excellent Students Summer Camp aims at promoting the exchange of ideas among the best students, strengthening their understanding of economics research and selecting outstanding students to continue their studies at SEPKU. Outstanding students gathered in SEPKU, exchanged in-depth thoughts and established profound friendships. They also felt the heritage and scholastic atmosphere of SEPKU, and added spiritual resource and intrinsic motivation for the future academic career.
